Thank you very much for your patience and understanding as we resolve this issue. We've isolated the problem and are working on a solution which should be ready in roughly 5 hours. After investigating on our side, we've determined that the game does not launch properly when using a Phenom II CPU. Hello everyone, this is the Dev Team in Tokyo. It seems to mostly affect people with AMD processors (like I have), though a couple people with other processors have also been unable to run the game, so no one is quite sure what's up exactly. If the game crashes or freezes for you, one of the developers created a thread here where you can put your system specs and help contribute to their finding the problem. What improvements will the PC version offer? Guess we will find out this December.Several people are having issues running the game (including myself :( ). Ground Zeroes was cherished for its open-world mechanics but its short length earned it some criticism. The game serves as the prologue to the full-size epilogue, The Phantom Pain, that is set to release on the aforementioned consoles as well as PC in 2015. Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes was released back in March 2014 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Regardless, the validity of the release date is very much believable as Russia has one of the largest PC gaming communities in Europe. However, Konami, publisher of the game, declined to comment on the matter when contacted by Videogamer. According to the reporting sources, Hideo Kojima himself confirmed the release date at a currently ongoing Russian game convention called Igromir 2014. However, no specific release date was given, but now it looks like that PC version of Ground Zeroes will hit shelves later this year in December.Ĭompiled by NeoGAF, multiple Russian gaming websites are reporting that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes PC version will be released on Steam later this year on December 18. Both, Ground Zeroes, which is the most critically acclaimed first episode of Metal Gear Solid 5 that has already been released on all major video game consoles, as well as The Phantom Pain, which is the highly anticipated second episode of Metal Gear Solid 5, were confirmed to arrive on Windows PC via Steam. METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN which includes METAL GEAR ONLINE, has an SRP of 59.99 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Steam and 49.99 for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Xbox 360. Hideo Kojima Allegedly Confirms Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes PC Version's Release Date - Arriving This Year in DecemberĪfter expressing interest in bringing the game to PC, Hideo Kojima, a renowned video game director, announced a couple of months ago at Gamescom 2014 that Metal Gear Solid 5 will be coming to PC. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set to debut on September 1. You can also play Metal Gear Solid V on PlayStation 4, Xbox. While Kojima Productions is busy at work developing Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, the second part of a well-known and critically acclaimed open world action-adventure third-person shooter stealth video game known as Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, PC gamers are eagerly waiting for the developer to announce the release date of the first part for PC, which was confirmed by Hideo Kojima a couple of months ago, and it looks like they don't need to wait any longer, as the director has allegedly confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is coming to PC on December 18. PC users on Steam will not be able to preload the files for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, while those who got the console versions of the game are able to do such a thing, according to a Konami representative who declined to share any other details about the situation. Still, from a pure gameplay perspective, The Phantom Pain is an huge achievement, and one of the best PC games when it comes to stealth.
